Peter "Pete" E. Tyson, 64, of the Acreage and formerly of Delray Beach passed away on February 16, 2022. Pete was predeceased by his parents Harry and Sophie Tyson and brother Michael (Mike) Tyson. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Darlene, four daughters, Cori Burnsed (Chad), Stephanie Price (Mike) , Anna Tyson (Robert Allen), Casey Tyson, grandson Austin Burnsed, granddaughter Lilly Burnsed, sister in-law Dawn Rosado (Robert), brother in-law James E. Martin Jr. (Jaycee), mother in-law Pat Martin, nephews Brian Tyson, Jeffrey Tyson (Nathalia, welcoming Baby Michael in May), James E. Martin III., and niece Kailey Martin.

Pete proudly served the citizens of Palm Beach County for over 30 years as a Driver Engineer first for Del Trail Fire Department and then Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, and is also survived by his extended, beloved fire family. To his family he was known as the best "girl" dad ever and so loved his daughters. Pete was proud of being a nuisance alligator trapper for the State of Florida serving the Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program for ten years. As a Florida native and lifelong Floridian, Pete was a lifelong advocate for the conservation and management of Florida's wildlife and natural lands. He was a longtime member of the Florida Sportsman's Conservation Association, which also became a second family. Pete touched many lives and will live on in the hearts of those he loved.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:00am at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Church located at 100 Crestwood Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL, 33411 with a Celebration Of Life and Gathering to follow thereafter at Loxahatchee Groves Park, 13901 Southern Blvd, Loxahatchee, FL 33470.
