Petri Paris
Halfon
June 30, 1944 – September 11, 2025
Petri Paris Halfon, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, in Delray Beach, Florida. She was 81.
Born on June 30, 1944, in the small town of Cotillas, Spain, Petri's adventurous spirit led her far beyond her roots. Originally from the south of Spain, she was the only member of her family to journey across the ocean and build a life abroad. For over 35 years, the United States became her permanent home, though her heart remained deeply connected to Spain. She traveled frequently between the two countries, nurturing the bonds of family and heritage that meant so much to her.
Petri also spent several years in Ecuador, South America, where she ran a luxury leather goods business—an endeavor that reflected her entrepreneurial spirit and refined taste. Her life in the U.S. was shared with her dear husband, Jim Halfon, with whom she built a beautiful life in cities across the country, including Seattle, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and eventually Delray Beach.
Above all, Petri's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband Jim Halfon, her daughter Pierrette Paris, her son Gynner Paris and her sweet cat, Coco. Her warmth, humor, and radiant smile were a constant throughout her life and a source of joy for those around her. A gifted artist, Petri found deep fulfillment in painting. Her canvasses often reflected her love of nature, children, and animals, capturing the beauty of landscapes and the warmth of the world around her.
Petri's love for cooking was another way she expressed her deep affection for those around her. She delighted in hosting friends and family, preparing delicious meals that ranged from traditional Spanish dishes like paellas to a wide array of succulent creations. Her kitchen was a place of joy, laughter, and connection—where her generous spirit and remarkable hospitality made everyone feel at home. Through her food, she shared not just flavors, but love. Petri was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire through the memories she leaves behind.
