Phyllis M.
Greenberg
April 23, 1941 – March 28, 2026
Phyllis M. Greenberg, 84, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on March 28, 2026. She was the beloved widow of Allan S. Greenberg, who died in August 2023, and is survived by her daughter, Robin Taber of Boca Raton.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Irene Monreal, Phyllis—affectionately called "Penny" by her mother—lived a vibrant and adventurous life. At 18, she became a dance instructor, where she met her first husband, Paul. Together they performed in the Catskills and local nightclubs before moving across the country in pursuit of new opportunities, eventually settling in South Florida in 1970.
Phyllis was known for her tenacity, passion, and loyalty. She loved ballroom dancing and found great joy in it throughout her life. She also explored entrepreneurship, opening her own business, and embraced a wide range of interests from real estate to horses to spirituality.
She lived life on her own terms and often said she had a wonderful life. Her final words to her daughter were, "I love you. Spend the rest of your life having fun."
Phyllis requested to be cremated. She will be deeply missed.
