Obituary

Richard Albert Colosky, born on July 21,1945 in Chicago, IL has passed away at age 77 on June 9,2023 in Delray Beach, FL.  Richard aka Dick leaves behind Shirley Colosky, his beloved wife of 30 years.

He is survived by his step-children James Alan Hanna, Kimberly Diane Tibbs, sister Donna Vesely, niece Romni Wilkin, five grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one grandniece and two grandnephews.

He also adored his beloved rescue cats Ruffin and Pepper and donated to the SPCA of Palm Beach, FL for care and adoption of the animals there.

Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam war and was stationed in South Korea.  Following his military service, Richard attended electronics training and joined Burroughs Corporation as a Field Engineer.  He was successful maintaining large computer systems and quickly moved up various levels of service and support.  He was eventually elevated to a reginal management position and later transferred to Southern California where he served as an operations manager at both the District and Regional level.  At the Regional level he led teams that resulted in awards for overall profit and loss but also quality customer support recognition.  In 1998 he made a career change moving to South Florida joining DecisionOne as Area Manager. He was recognized for enhancing overall performance and innovation in servicing computer customers throughout the Florida Region.  He continued his life in Delray Beach following retirement.

Richard loved his family, had a wonderful sense of humor, loved kids and animals, loved watching his Chicago Bears even when they were losing, enjoyed crazy Hawaiian shirts, and taking off on long rides with no direction.
