Richard Frank "Buck" Ward passed away in Lexington, SC, on February 21, 2021.

Buck was born in Delray Beach on December 9, 1929, and lived there until 2017 when he moved close to his son, Joe, in SC. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Laura Ward, and three brothers, Carl, Billy and Dan. Other beloved family included Cindy, who was married to Joe,grandsons Ben (Emily) and Grayson (Lindsey), great-grandchildren Cohen and Brighton, and sister-in-law Jackie.

Buck served in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1987 as Deputy Tax Collector for Palm Beach County. He was a Mason, serving as Worshipful Master of Delray Lodge #171 in 1976. He was a great supporter of Seacrest/Atlantic High School athletics, with long stints as statistician and broadcaster on WDBF. Buck was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Delray.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on July 10, 2021, 10:00 AM at the Delray Beach Cemetery, 905 SW 10th Street, Delray Beach, FL
