Robert E. Christie (Bob), age 69, of Boynton Beach FL passed away Friday, January 5th 2018. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School. He worked at the Democrat & Chronicle in Rochester New York before moving to Delray Beach, Florida in 1983. He worked for the Sun-Sentinel for 31 years, where he retired as Vice President and Director of Operations in 2014. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a proud Florida Gator Dad- Go Gators! After being diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2012, he became a strong supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Robert is survived by his wife of 41 years Margaret Christie; daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Perkins; daughter Meg Christie; sister Carol (Al) Clifton; and 3 grandchildren Brayden, Ryan, and Quinley Perkins. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him.
A service will be held at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 15700 S Military Trail, Delray Beach, FL 33484 on Wednesday, January 10th at 1:00 PM. Following the service, the family will be hosting a celebration of life - details to be provided at the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Bob to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
