Robert Louis
Fragetti
May 16, 1936 – August 19, 2021
Devoted and adored father, grandfather, great grandfather and loyal friend, Robert grew up under the "L" on New Utrecht Avenue in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn with his parents Louis and Florence, along with brothers Thomas and Daniel. Robert passed away on Thursday, August 19th, 2021 at the age of 85.
Robert was a union man and a member of the Local One-L, who worked long and arduous hours for the Amalgamated Lithographers of America. He retired at an early age to spread his love of life and people to all he came in touch with. Bob was always there for his children with endless support and love. Grandpa Bob's kindness surrounded him with many friends and buddies, especially around the paddle ball courts in Staten Island and down in Delray Beach. He lived out his dreams in Florida with his companion Marilyn, always announcing, "It's like being on vacation everyday."
Bobby was the life of the party, wherever he was - dining, dancing, at the pool, or just watching the Yankees. Bob loved to sing and dance especially! Although they were not special gifts from the Lord, he never let that stop him from enjoying them to the fullest! His smile, big heart, fun and loving sense of humor and his sheer presence brought only love, warmth and tenderness to those he knew best. His generosity, jovial and cheerful personality, and ability to make others laugh was his passion along with keeping his cars detailed! Bob was also a master in the kitchen - he was known by family and friends alike for his famous lasagna. Each Christmas, he loved passing down his Italian cooking techniques to his children and grandchildren, who will ensure that his lasagna will live on for generations to come.
Robert is survived by his two children, Robert Jr. and Denise; his 5 grandchildren, Robert, Nicole, Danielle, Jaclene, and Stephen, and great grandchildren, Gabriella and Joshua.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, 1:00pm at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow at High Point Section One Clubhouse.
