Robert J. Locher, 79, of Delray Beach and formerly of Asbury Park, NJ passed away on April 26, 2013. Robert was born in Farmingdale, NJ on March 9, 1934 to Joseph & Mary Locher and was a retired US Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, of Delray Beach and BPOE Elks 1770. He is survived by his sister Theresa M. Golding of Farmingdale, NJ, nephews Daniel & Richard Golding, cousins James Farry and Carolyn Reid, and former wife Patricia Locher. Visitation services will be held on Thursday May 2, 2013 from 5PM to 8PM at Buckley Funeral Home, 509 2nd Ave., Asbury Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013, 11AM at the funeral home followed by burial with military honors at the Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
