February 24, 1937 – January 8, 2019
Robert H. Moore (Bob) died peacefully on January 8, 2019. Bob, a former Pharmaceutical and Strategic Consulting Executive, was a lifetime resident of Delray Beach where he and his mother Sybil Holloway Nelson were active community members. A Seacrest High School graduate, he later attended the University of Virginia and Denison University where he played competitive tennis. Bob continued to play competitive tennis throughout his adult life ultimately using his talent to give back as a tennis coach at FAU in Boca Raton. He was man of deep faith and a member of The Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller of Malta. He was active in The Episcopal Diocese of South East Florida; served on the Vestry at Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach and St. Josephs Episcopal Church in Boynton Beach. Bob enjoyed being a founding member and head of the Men of Bethesda as well as an EFM instructor. Bob later returned to his childhood church St. Josephs where his mother was the church organist. Bob continuously volunteered and served on several boards throughout Palm Beach County.
Bob is survived by his devoted daughter Tiffany Moore, his cousin Christopher Holloway and his loving friend Joyce Wells, to whom he was most grateful.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Boynton Beach, FL or to a charity of your choice.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, January 19, 2019 at St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, 3300 Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33435.
