Robert John "Bob", Murphy age 61, of Highland Beach, FL and formerly of Delray Beach, FL and St. Charles, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Bob was a retired Senior Patrol Officer for the City of the Elgin, IL Police Department with over 28 years of decorated service. He proudly served in the US Navy Reserve. Bob enjoyed fishing, swimming, and softball. He was an avid Packers, Blackhawks, and Cubs fan. He is survived by his loving mother Arlette "Pat" Murphy; his loving children, Samantha Murphy, Nicholas (Erica) Murphy, David (Suzanne) Murphy, Shannon (Brian) Arries; his stepdaughter, Christina (Clay) Winkler; his grandchildren, Emma, Dylan, Shane; brother, Daniel (Jennifer) Murphy; sisters, Catherine (Joseph) Caton, Janet (Rick) Stuiber. A memorial gathering will be held at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 N.E 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
