Bob Vollrath, 59, passed away suddenly at his Ocean Ridge home Friday evening. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Verona and Herbert Vollrath. He will be missed by his wife Terry Plageman Vollrath; sons Robert, Michael (wife Shannon), John, and sister Kathy Vollrath Shockley. Bob was a wonderful son-in-law to Frank and Peggy Plageman, brother-in-law, friend and uncle to 11 nieces and nephews.
Bob was an avid golfer, sailor, and angler. He loved to travel and had just returned with Terry from a month long vacation in Europe celebrating Bob's retirement . While retired, he still kept involved in many projects with close friends. He loved going on his boat trips to the Bahamas, listening to Kenny G, cheering for the Miami Dolphins, and sipping on decaf Dunkin Donuts coffee with Terry on the patio. Nothing gave him greater pleasure than hosting celebrations of all kinds in his home, being surrounded by family and friends. He will always be remembered for living life to the fullest with the ones he loved the most.
