Roberto Pettinato was born and raised in Parma, Italy. Upon graduating from School of Optometry, Lozzo di Cadore, in 1986, Roberto left Italy to explore America where he met Kelly, his wife of 34 years. During those 34 years, he built a business, KMD Enterprise, with his brother Giovanni Pettinato, who still resides in Parma, Italy. He had his heart in two worlds and spent two months every year in Parma, Italy and Sicily with his mother Maria, his father Orazio Pettinato, his brother Giovanni and his twin nieces Rebecca and Matilda.

While in America, he was passionate about spending time with Kelly’s mom Peg Percy, Kelly’s sister Kimberly, her husband Chris and their children Kelly Kaps, and Chaz and Katherine Kaps and their children CJ and Derek. He made frequent trips to Colorado to either ski or ride motorcycles with Kelly’s sister Kathy, her husband Sam, and their children Robert and David. He also loved to go to upstate New York to visit Kelly’s sister Karen and her husband Norman and their children Brent and Brad, and extended families.

On any given weekend you would find Roberto cooking for family and friends in their beach house, which was always filled with love and laughter, which was a testament to a life well lived.
