Obituary

Ryan Frank Lavanco, 42, of Delray Beach, Florida, and formerly of Long Valley, New Jersey, went to heaven on Monday, June 1, 2020. He is survived by his parents Carl and Lynne Lavanco, his love Jordyn, his dearly beloved sisters Laurel, Donna and Carla, his brothers from another mother Tim "Richie"and Ray, his nieces Cassie and Gina, his cousin Sean, his many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and his countless friends that he considered family. Ryan worked in the hospitality industry for many years and most recently was, and always will be, part of the O'Connor's Pub and Frog Lounge families.

Ryan loved music and always provided the best tunes to any gathering. He loved doing his "cover battles" (name that tune/artist) with others who dared to challenge him. He loved his golf outings with family and friends. Ryan was a walking sports encyclopedia and he rocked his beloved Jets gear regardless of wins or losses. He could talk sports with anyone. He inherited his competitive nature from his mom, who would never let him win unearned, and was his fantasy football assistant coach.

Ryan had the gift of authenticity. Everyone who knew him felt that they had a special bond with him. He truly embraced everyone for who they were. Ryan's legacy is one of pure love and pure acceptance. He led the charge that every day and every occasion was a cause for celebration and laughter.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 5. 2020, 10:30AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach, FL 33483.

Due to COVID restrictions, the number of attendees at the church is limited to 250 family members and close friends.  Social distancing and face masks are required at the church.

The Lavanco family welcomes all who wish to honor and celebrate Ryan's life with them, at their home beginning 12:00PM.
