Salvatore T. Sangi, 84, of Delray Beach, FL passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Sal served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a long time Communicant, Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister for Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton, FL. Sal retired as an armored car driver.
Salvatore is survived by his loving wife, Betty; daughter, Karen (Arthur) Nelson of Naples, FL; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 PM with a 4:00 PM Scripture Service on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 N.E. 6th Ave. Delray Beach, FL 33483. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, 7250 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33487. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 1:15 PM in Lane 3 at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ascension Catholic Church.
