Sharon Marie (Kotas) Lynch, 79, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on September 29, 2026. Sharon was born on April 29, 1947 in Syracuse, New York to Jane and Peter Kotas. In addition to being mentored by her mother throughout her childhood, Sharon attended Syracuse Cosmetology School to become a licensed and talented beautician. She owned and operated Sharon’s Beauty Salon in Syracuse for over 30 years.
Sharon loved her Catholic faith and music deeply. She shared these loves by singing with the I J Paderewski Choir at the Sacred Heart Basilica and the Syracuse Oratorio Choir for over 20 years. The highlight of the Christmas season was listening to Sharon sing Handel’s Messiah with the Syracuse Symphony.
In 1978, Sharon married the love of her life, John. Together they raised three children, infusing their home with the Catholic faith and their Polish heritage. She shared Polish recipes, Wigilia (Christmas Eve dinner) and various Polish traditions with her children which now have been passed on to her grandchildren. She spent many hours in the kitchen with her children and grandchildren teaching them the art and love of cooking throughout her life.
John and Sharon started a new chapter in 1996 when they moved to Florida. She earned her Associates Degree in Business and started a new profession as a Medical Coder. As an active parishioner at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Florida, Sharon worked in the parish gift shop, served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and welcomed many new faces into the parish for many years. Her bright smile and warm welcome made new church members of the parish feel right at home.
As the years passed and John and Sharon became “empty nesters” they traveled the world, spent many summers at the Saratoga Racetrack and made many memories at Walt Disney World with their grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Tobi Pirolla of Mooresville, NC, daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Richard Anselmi of Centennial, CO, and daughter, Michelle Lynch of Centennial, CO, as well as 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Aberdeen. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ronald, and most recently, her beloved John who passed away on August 31, 2026.
Sharon passed away on the evening of September 29th, the feast day of St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael the Archangels. May they continue to watch over Sharon as she rests in peace.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach, FL 33483 with burial to follow at 12:30 PM at South Florida National Cemetery in Lane #1. This Mass and burial will be celebrated for both John and Sharon Lynch.
