Squire A. Taylor, Jr., 85, of Delray Beach, and formerly of Cooperstown, NY, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2015. Squire was born on May 30, 1930 in Cooperstown, NY, the son of Squire and Neita Kinney Taylor. He grew up on a farm in Edson Corner, Milford, NY, and served in the US Navy. He worked for the Grand Union Company for 32 years, retiring as a District Sales Manager in 1986. He then managed the Panther Motel in Deerfield Beach for ten years until fully retiring in 1996.
Squire was married to his beloved wife, Luella Lincourt Taylor, for 49 years until her passing in 2000. Squire loved to read, take long walks, the company of his many friends, and spending precious time with his loving family.
He is survived by his three children, Donna Davis (the late Phillip Davis); Squire A. "Lonnie" Taylor, III (Patricia Perez Taylor); and Russell Taylor (Patilyn Everington Taylor); his sister, Betty Foster; seven grandchildren (Phillip, Jr., Sharlyn, Christopher, Adam and Steven) and five great grandchildren (Cody, Jacob, Samantha, Allison, Kainoa, Sherie and Sabrina.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, 11:00 AM at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trustbridge Health (Hospice Care), 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL, 33407.
