Stella Rossi, 96 of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on July 18th, 2023.  Stella was predeceased by her husband Enrico Rossi in 2007.  She is survived by her daughters Maria S Ellingsworth of Delray Beach, FL and Elisa C Turner of Vancouver, WA; sisters, Florence "Kathy" Stambaugh of Boynton Beach, FL and Francis Ewing of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Sofia Berman, Coleman Ellingsworth, Crystal Giles and Tiffany Gillette and great granddaughter Kaylee Giles.

Stella was a wonderful, loving, and selfless person who dedicated most of her life to the service of others; making them comfortable and making sure they were always fed and fed well!  Her life was also dedicated to the preservation and protection of the environment and animal species that our busy world had mostly forgotten.  She protected their habitat and fought for their survival.  She filled her yard entirely with native plants and trees, making it a haven for all creatures.

Stella was an active member of the Audubon Society, Coalition for Wilderness Islands and Native Plant Society.  She was actively involved in the effort to have the environmentally sensitive land known as The Seacrest Scrub Natural Area set aside as a park and spent over 30 years overseeing its preservation and wellbeing.

Stella was a warrior for what was good and right.  The world needs more people like Stella.  She will be greatly missed.
