Obituary

Steve Alexander was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, where he grew up with his parents, Virginia and Louis, and his older brother Warner.

Steve's career started in the insurance and banking industries and, finding a niche, he launched Pension Management Company (PMC) in 1975. Steve and his first wife raised Joyce, Jill and Karen, his three daughters, in King of Prussia, PA. He later married Patti and moved to Malvern, PA, with Patti's children Billy and Tina. Together, Steve and Patti ran PMC until 1996, when they took a break and followed their dream to live on a sailboat they named The Getaway. For the next three years they sailed the Eastern Caribbean before settling back down in Delray Beach, FL, and splitting time between their Pennsylvania business and Florida home.

Steve loved fly fishing and designed a vacation home on a trout stream in Hayesville, North Carolina. For ten years he and Patti have enjoyed the property, also named The Getaway, both alone and with family and friends. Steve loved boating, fishing, and the outdoors, but his greatest love was for his wife, Patti, of 42 years.

Steve passed away peacefully at TrustBridge Hospice in Bethesda Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at Cason United Methodist Church, 342 North Swinton Ave., Delray Beach on Saturday, April 6, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Steve's memory to Cason United Methodist Church , TrustBridge Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association .

Steve is survived by his devoted wife, a brother, five children, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends he considered family.  He was predeceased by his grandson, Ryan Petrille.
