Stephen P. Hodgkins, 65, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away August 23, 2019. Born in Rockland, Maine, August 27, 1953, he was the son of Newell and Gloria Hodgkins. He was a 1971 graduate of Rockland District High School.

Steve went on to become a head golf professional running several golf clubs in Maine. Steve's career was highlighted with a double eagle on the 7th hole at the Rockland Golf Club and 13 hole in ones. After his professional career, he stayed with the field of golf working at Mizner Country Club in Delray Beach where he met many very caring and generous coworkers and members.

Predeceased by his father, he is survived by his mother Gloria Hodgkins of Delray Beach, FL; his partner of 28 years Patricia Henderson; stepdaughter Cathy Faucher and her husband Bill of Falmouth, ME; stepdaughter Amy Henderson and her fiancé Bill Goldenberg of Boothbay Harbor, ME; step grandchildren Megan Faucher, and Emily, Ryan, and Abby Amaral; sister Carol Hill and her husband George of Perry, GA; sister Margaret Burgess and her husband Richard of Lake Worth, FL; brother Donald Hodgkins of Delray Beach, FL; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6 ^th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483, in Delray Beach on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.thefirsttee.org . Click here to donate online.
