Sylvia Prince Duggan, 83 of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully at home on November 4th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Sylvia was born in McRae, Georgia on August 27th, 1940. Sylvia moved to Delray Beach with her family as a young girl where she attended Delray Beach Elementary and Seacrest High School. Sylvia earned her nursing degree from Palm Beach Junior College and practiced nursing for more than 50 years. Sylvia was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her husband Leo and loved to play the card game Hand and Foot with her family and friends any chance she got.
Sylvia is predeceased by her parents; Edith R Prince and George L Prince and her sisters; Edith Parrish and Camille Shillinglaw, her brothers; Jesse Hall and Phillip Prince and her husband of 55 years Leo G. Duggan. Sylvia is survived by her children; Karen Churey and Kevin(Heather) Duggan. Sylvia was so proud of her grandchildren; John Joseph Churey III, Lauren(Tyler) Lang and Sean Patrick Duggan as well as her 2 great grandsons; Liam and Grayson Lang that always put a smile on her face and her sister Sara(Victor) Grassman. Sylvia will be loved and missed by the rest of her family and friends for her recipes, willingness to lend a hand and her crazy card playing antics will live on!
Friends may call on Friday, December 8th, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with an 11:30 AM funeral service at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483 with interment to follow at 1:00 PM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
Donations can be made in memory of Sylvia Duggan to the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition to support literacy in children and adults. The family would like to thank Trustbridge Hospice and Veritas Home Health for their compassionate care and support.
