Thomas Edward (Tommy) Acheson, 65, a lifelong resident of Delray Beach passed away on October 5 ^th , 2022.

Tommy was a graduate of Sanford Naval Academy in Sanford, FL and attended Stetson University in Deland, FL.  While at Sanford Naval Academy, Tommy played basketball and metaled in cross country and other track sports.  He was an avid fisherman and scuba diver, spending time in the Bahamas and Florida Keys.  Tommy also loved playing golf and watching football.  Locally, he was a familiar figure in the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, coaching Little League Baseball and playing in the Delray Softball League.  He and his father Joe were well-known and respected electricians for Acheson Electric.  After his father's retirement, Tommy joined Carey & Knuth Electrical Contractors. He was the third generation to live in the family home that his grandparents bought in 1948. Tommy was predeceased by his life partner Debi Sykes in 2019.

Tommy is survived by his aunt Gloria Galloway, cousins H. Edward Galloway, Jr., Kathleen (Jon) Young, and their children Ella, Kyle and Cole; Colleen (Lindsay) Harper, and their son JC and many lifelong close friends near and far.

A celebration of Tommy's life will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 1PM to 4PM at the Delray Beach Elks Lodge, 265 NE 4 ^th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444.  Miami Dolphin casual attire suggested.
