Thomas George Mitterbach was born on May 12th, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and passed away, at age 88, on February 1st, 2023 in Palm Beach County, Florida.

He was raised in Ohio but a leap of faith, in his early 20's, landed him in Delray Beach. He was a Life Guard, tended bar at the legendary Arcade Tap Room and eventually retired from the Post Office.

Tom enjoyed 35 summer seasons in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern North Carolina.  Blended with his years sailing, boating and fishing he was truly content.  No one cherished friends & family more sincerely throughout their journey.

He is survived by Blayne, Tom, Kirk and Maggie.  (Their mother, Coralan "Toddy" Harris, passed on January 19th, 2008.)  His cause of death was mesothelioma. You may learn more on eradicating this life-ending disease by calling (877) 363-6376 or at www.curemeso.org .
