Obituary

Thomas W. Stuff, 76, of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of Buffalo, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Thomas, lovingly known as "Tom" to his family, friends and coworkers, earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology and Master's degree in Business Management from Nova University.  For decades, Tom worked as a project engineer and manager in the field of avionics, and helped develop various components for fighter jets for the US Air Force.  Tom was an avid lifelong learner, craftsman, golfer and Buffalo Bills football fan.  As a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Tom earned the highest rank attainable, Eagle Scout.

Tom is survived by his wife, Denise Stuff; daughter, Lisa Barreto, and granddaughter, Anna Barreto, of Seffner, FL.  Tom was the eldest son of William and Elizabeth (Heimiller) Stuff of Eggertsville, NY; and sibling to Bill Stuff of Gilbert, AZ and sister Lynn Drake of Norwich, NY.  Tom's father, William, served in the US Air Force as a pilot in WWII.

Tom's passing was unexpected and has left his family and friends with a heavy heart, as his sunny disposition and good-natured humor will be greatly missed.  Tom was known as an all-around great guy that could build or fix anything and was always there to help.  He loved playing cards, board games, video games and was a fierce competitor on the golf course.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11am at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33483.  The family will be receiving friends from 10am to 11am.  Following the memorial service, a private celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Polo Trace Clubhouse, 13405 Whistler Mountain Rd., Delray Beach, FL 33446.
