Tom Honker passed peacefully on August 10, 2023 in Delray Beach, FL. Tom was born on June 13, 1942 in Myerstown, PA to John Honker Sr. and Jean Honker. Tom is survived by his son, John P. & Tracey Miller, his sister, Penny Kuzmenko, other family members and friends.

We remember Tom first for his devout faith and his dedication to the Christian church. He was a member and contributor to Trinity Lutheran Church in Delray Beach, FL for over 30 years. Tom was also an avid scuba diver, tennis player and classical music buff.  He held many professions including high-school teacher and owner of a successful of a specimen seashell business. His seashell business supplied specimen seashells to museums, research organizations and private collectors worldwide and allowed he and his family to travel from the Caribbean to the South Pacific and many destinations in between. He and Paula discovered new specimen seashells, some of which were used to develop medications to battle terminal diseases. Through his business, he made significant contributions to organizations including Ohio State University, Sanibel Shell Museum, The Sandoway House and Broward Shell Club. In his retirement, he donated much of his time to the church and charitable causes, helping those around him to learn from the wisdom he gained through his life.
