Migatz
November 19, 1927 – January 28, 2024
Veronica Elizabeth Migatz, a devoted mother, peacefully passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on November 19, 1927, in Lovilia, Iowa, to the late Andrew Peter Gasper and Elizabeth Yarkosky, forming the foundation of a life that would be filled with love, family, and enduring memories.
Veronica was one of eight siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death. She is reunited in eternal peace with her dear siblings: Joseph P. Gasper, Andrew George Gasper, Margaret Evelyn Evans, John Edward Gasper, Gerald Gasper, Geraldine Comer, and Thomas Paul Gasper. Together, they shared a bond that transcends time and leaves behind a legacy of familial love.
In 1953, Veronica married Robert M. Migatz. Robert preceded Veronica in death.
Veronica's own journey through life was marked by the joy of motherhood. She leaves behind a cherished legacy in her eight children, each a testament to her love and dedication. Monica Wolf and Donna Migatz, both now at rest, were part of the circle of love that Veronica created. The living carries forward her legacy: Rita (Lonny) Bengston, Raymond (Patricia) Migatz, David Migatz, Mark Migatz, Joan (Gary) Noto, and Paula (Franklin) May.
Veronica was not only a devoted mother but also a resilient and hardworking individual. While raising her family, she held various jobs, demonstrating her dedication to providing for her loved ones. In addition to her roles as a mother and a provider, Veronica pursued a career as a real estate agent in Miramar, where she lived for over 40 years. Her passion for real estate and commitment to her community left a lasting impact on those she served.
In her 80s, Veronica continued to make a difference in her community by taking on a leadership role in starting the East Miramar Crime Watch organization. Her dedication to promoting safety and community involvement showcased her enduring commitment to the well-being of those around her. Veronica's efforts were instrumental in fostering a sense of security and unity among her neighbors.
One of Veronica's greatest joys was found in the strokes of her paintbrush. Oil painting was her favorite hobby, a creative outlet through which she expressed her innermost thoughts and emotions.
Veronica's faith was a cornerstone of her life. A deeply religious Catholic, having also participated in the multi-denominational charismatic movement, she found solace, strength, and purpose in her devotion to her faith. Her spiritual journey was an integral part of who she was, and her commitment to Catholic teachings shaped her values and guided her through life's joys and challenges.
In addition to her children, Veronica is survived by her adoring grandchildren, Chad Bengston, Cory Bengston, Ryan (Skitter) Bengston, Amy Bengston, Ashley Bengston, Kyle Bengston, Thomas May (Rachael Stone), Matthew May, Angela (Johan) Toro, Steven Migatz, Nicholas (Adrienne) Noto, Casey (Patrick) Donahue and great-grandchildren, Kai Bengston, Talia Bengston, Kaiko Isaac Stone, Sophia Maria Toro, Anthony Nicholas Noto, Gia Donna Noto, Rocco Dominic Donahue who all brought immense joy to her life.
