Vincent L. Quarta, of Delray Beach passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016.
Born on March 17, 1942 in Highland Park, IL and raised in Lake Forest, IL., Vince, as a young boy was a Cub and Boy Scout and also an altar boy. His summer jobs were as a caddy and operating the movie projector for his father's theatre. Vince was very athletic and was a star football player in Deerpath Jr. High School. He attended Aledo Military School. Vince had a talent for electronics and graduated from DeVry School of Technology. In his early twenties, he decided to escape the cold and move to Delray Beach, FL where he met Pam and they married and had two children. He was an entrepreneur, starting the first "Rent a Wreck" car rental agency. He retired at a young age resulting from a stroke. Vince loved his Corvette and his red scooter which he rode around most of the time. He loved the Miami Dolphins, Nascar, and his adorable Yorkies Harley and Riley and especially "Happy Hour" with friends. He is survived by his son Vincent, daughter Valerie McDuffie, sister Mary Jo (George) Wiegold, brother Leonard (Claudia) Quarta, grandchildren Joshua & Justin Quarta and Connor & Jack McDuffie and his loving friend Lori Cowell.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00 PM at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, 2016 10:00 AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach. Entombment will follow at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum.
