Obituary

Virginia Louise Foht Strucker, 87, of Delray Beach passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025.

Born on November 29, 1937, in Erie, she was the beloved daughter of Charles Foht and Mary Cronin. A proud graduate of Mercyhurst University, Virginia earned her degree in 1960 and briefly taught first grade in New York, where her love for children and nurturing nature was evident.

It was in Erie where she met the love of her life, William Strucker, through a mutual friend—a chance meeting that led to a lifetime of love and partnership. After marrying, Virginia moved to Florida with William, where she began her life as a devoted homemaker and loving mother to their three children.

Virginia embraced her role with wholehearted dedication. She was the ever-present room mother, chauffeur, and unwavering support behind every school event, sports practice, and family milestone. Her quiet strength, selflessness, and boundless love defined her and left a lasting legacy in the lives of her children and all who knew her.

A devout Catholic, Virginia's faith was at the center of her life. She never missed Mass and was a constant presence in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at St. Vincent's, where she found deep peace and purpose. Her devotion was quiet but profound, and her life was a true example of faith in action.

Virginia is survived by her children Elizabeth Meador and her husband Jason; Erin Craig and her husband Thomas; Alison Goodridge and her husband Peter; and her grandchildren Lexi, Drew, and Chase. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Strucker.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:30 PM at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 840 George Bush Blvd, Delray Beach, FL 33483. Remembrances may be sent to St. Vincent Ferrer Church.

She will be remembered for her grace, humility, and the deep love she gave to her family and faith community.
