Winifred "Win" Bennett Clark, 82, of Delray Beach and formerly of Northfield, Ohio passed away on June 3, 2013 after a brief stay at Hospice of the Palm Beaches. Mrs. Clark is survived by her six children, Charla Prillaman, Susan Oliver (Joseph), Dorothy Kopcik, Dennis Clark, Debora White (Rick) and Patricia Olson (George). She leaves 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Clark moved to Delray Beach from Ohio in 1977 and lived a full and active life there. She was proud to have worked for the Winn-Dixie grocery stores for 33 years, retiring in March of 2013.
After leaving high school at 16, she remained full of curiosity and with a love for learning; she studied at Florida Atlantic University, earning a Bachelor's degree with Honors in 2007. Her children attended the graduation ceremony honoring their mother's achievement at age 76.
Mrs. Clark loved travelling and in addition to extensive domestic travel enjoyed trips to Mexico, China, Dominican Republic, Egypt, England, France and most recently Peru and Rapa Nui. She loved reading and the sea.
Her indomitable spirit and zest for life allowed her to enjoy many different adventures and left a legacy of courage, joy, and love. She impressed all who met her - a woman of great compassion, courage and strength.
Friends may call on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 3PM to 5PM with a 5PM funeral service at the LORNE & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 745 NE 6th Ave. (North Federal Highway) Delray Beach. Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, Delray Beach in charge of arrangements.
