Obituary

Winifred Carey Eisert, of Boynton Beach passed away on November 27, 2011. Winnie was born on September 5, 1915, the fourth and youngest daughter of Charles and Dorothea Carey of Erie, Pa. She was a graduate of St. Benedict Academy for Girls in 1933 and attended Mercyhurst College, Class of 1937 in Erie. Winnie married William M. Eisert in Feb 1941 to whom sons William and James were born in 1941 and 1943. The family moved to Winter Haven, FL in 1945, where William bought and operated the Winter Haven City business until 1948 when William bought the Ft. Lauderdale City business where they resided until his sudden and untimely death in 1955. In 1966, Winnie joined the new Boca Raton Community Hospital staff and within a few years she was placed in charge of their billing department. In 1973, Winnie was invited to Bethesda Memorial Hospital to take charge of all computer operations for the Radiology Department. In 1980, Dr. Frank Kucera, vascular and general surgeon of Delray Beach, offered her a position of office manager, where she happily remained until her retirement. They have continued to be close friends after so many happy years of working together.
She is survived by 6 grandsons: James Eisert of New Jersey, Thomas Eisert of St. Lucie, FL, William Eisert of Jacksonville, FL, Matthew Eisert of Boynton Beach, Mark Eisert of Atlanta, GA, Michael Eisert of North Palm Beach and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, Dec 2, 2011, 9:30am at St. Mark Catholic Church, 643 NE 4th Ave., Boynton Beach with her beloved cousin Monsignor Michael McGraw as celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church of Boynton Beach.
